Homecraft Revive Electric Sauna Heater, 6 / 7.5 / 9 kW
The Homecraft Revive is a floor-standing stainless steel tower heater built for people who want a wet, steamy sauna rather than a dry one. It holds 200 lb of stones, more than most heaters in its class, and the stones sit in an inner cage around protected elements with an air-flow chamber behind them, so they come up to temperature quickly and take a generous ladle of water without flooding the elements. Pour, and the room fills with löyly.
It comes in three outputs for rooms from 250 to 450 cubic feet, all on 240V single-phase. The footprint is the same on every size, 14 by 14 inches, standing 36 inches tall. Homecraft has built sauna heaters in British Columbia since 1988, and the Revive is 100% stainless steel and ETL listed to UL 875 and CSA C22.2 No. 164.
Choose the size and, if you need one, the control. The TKE2-2 control is the contactor box and wall touchpad every Homecraft heater runs off; the Local touchpad is a simple wall panel, the WiFi touchpad adds a phone app and calendar scheduling.

Which size
- 6 kW — sauna rooms 250-300 cu ft, 25.0 amps at 240V, 40 A breaker, 8 AWG wire — data sheet
- 7.5 kW — sauna rooms 300-370 cu ft, 31.3 amps at 240V, 40 A breaker, 8 AWG wire — data sheet
- 9 kW — sauna rooms 360-450 cu ft, 37.5 amps at 240V, 50 A breaker, 8 AWG wire — data sheet
- Size the heater to the room's cubic feet, then add 10 percent for a glass door or an uninsulated wall. If your room sits on the line between two sizes, take the larger one; a heater working flat out makes a worse sauna than one with headroom.
Electrical and installation
- Each size needs its own dedicated 240V circuit from a licensed electrician: 40 A for the 6 kW, 40 A for the 7.5 kW, 50 A for the 9 kW.
- The heater is secured to the floor with the supplied safety brackets, the heater guard goes on, and the stones go in. Never run it without stones.
- Intake and exhaust vents on opposite walls keep the high-limit switch from nuisance tripping and keep the air fresh. No powered fans.
- Installation and operation manual: Homecraft Revive manual (PDF).
Delivery
- Shipping is free to the continental US. The heater ships boxed from Leisurecraft in Ontario; stones ship with it when you order them together.
- Check the carton for damage before you sign and photograph anything you see. That is what makes a freight claim stick.
Frequently Asked Questions
What size Revive do I need?
Match the heater to the cubic feet of your sauna room: the 6 kW suits 250-300 cu ft; the 7.5 kW suits 300-370 cu ft; the 9 kW suits 360-450 cu ft. Measure length by width by height inside the room. A glass door, a window or an uninsulated wall pushes you up a size. Send us the dimensions and we will confirm the match before you order.
What electrical does the Revive need?
A dedicated 240V single-phase circuit run by a licensed electrician: 25.0 amps on a 40 A breaker with 8 AWG wire for the 6 kW, 31.3 amps on a 40 A breaker with 8 AWG wire for the 7.5 kW, 37.5 amps on a 50 A breaker with 8 AWG wire for the 9 kW. The touchpad runs on a separate low-voltage cable from the contactor box, so plan a route for it when you frame the room.
How is the Revive different from the Revive Slim?
Same stainless build, same elements, different shape. The Revive is 14 by 14 inches and holds 200 lb of stones for rooms up to 450 cubic feet. The Revive Slim is only 8 inches deep, holds 100 lb and is made for small saunas from 100 to 325 cubic feet. If you have the floor space and want the most steam, the Revive is the one.
How much clearance does the Revive need?
3.5 inches to combustible material at the front and sides, and a ceiling at least 78 inches above the floor. The heater guard, which must be installed, keeps benches and bathers at the tested distance. Full clearance drawings are in the manual linked above.
Does the price include the control?
Only if you choose one. Every Homecraft heater runs off a TKE2-2 control, which is a contactor box plus a wall touchpad, and the configurator lets you buy the heater bare, with the Local touchpad, or with the WiFi touchpad. Pick the Control option above and the price updates. If you already own a TKE2-2 from another Homecraft heater, choose No Control.
Are the sauna stones included?
No. Homecraft sauna rocks are sold by the box, and the heater must never run without them. Tell us which heater you are buying and we will add the right number of boxes to the order.
What is the difference between the Local and the WiFi touchpad?
Both mount outside the sauna room and give you a 60-minute timer and a temperature setting between 77°F and 194°F. The WiFi touchpad adds a phone app, so you can start the sauna from the car, set a schedule by calendar, and check that it is off. The Local touchpad is the simpler, cheaper panel you operate at the wall.
Can I install it outdoors in a barrel or cabin sauna?
Yes. The heater lives inside the sauna room either way, and the TKE2-2 control ships with a weatherproof box, so the contactor can sit outside the room on an outdoor sauna. The touchpad is UV-protected and handles cold, but it must be kept out of direct water.
What is the warranty?
Homecraft covers its heaters with a two-year manufacturer warranty. The heater is ETL listed to UL 875 and CSA C22.2 No. 164 for permanent installation.
