The Homecraft TKE3 is the heavy-duty control for Homecraft Apex heaters of 12 kW and above, where the standard TKE2-2 contactor is not rated for the load. It carries a 75-amp contactor in a weatherproof box, so it can live outside the sauna room on an outdoor installation, and it gives you a one-hour timer and precise digital temperature control up to 194°F through a Homecraft touchpad.
Pair it with the Local touchpad for operation at the wall or the WiFi touchpad for remote start and calendar scheduling from your phone. The touchpad is sold separately so you can choose.
Do I need the TKE3 or the TKE2-2?
By heater size. Revive, Revive Slim, Apex Mini and the Apex 10 kW run on the TKE2-2, which comes with the control option on those heater pages. Apex 12 kW and larger need the 75-amp TKE3.
Is the touchpad included?
No. Choose the Local or the WiFi touchpad to go with it; both plug into the TKE3 over a low-voltage cable.
Can it be installed outdoors?
Yes. The weatherproof box is made for it. Mount it outside the sauna room, out of direct water, and run the heater's 240V feed to it.
Does it work with three-phase Apex heaters?
The 208V three-phase Apex heaters have their own control requirements. Tell us which Apex you have and we will confirm the right control before you order.
What is the warranty?
Homecraft controls carry the two-year manufacturer warranty.
