Is the S2NC package a cold plunge or a hot tub?
Both. The fiberglass tub takes cold water for a plunge or hot water for a soak. On its own it has no heater or chiller; the 3/4-inch NPT connections accept a chiller/heater, or you can fill it from a hose and add ice.
What does the chiller/heater do?
The included AP-1 chiller/heater unit circulates and filters the water and holds it anywhere from 37 to 107 degrees Fahrenheit, so the same tub is an ice bath in the morning and a hot soak at night. It plugs into a standard outlet.
Does it arrive assembled?
Yes. The tub, Thermo-Spruce surround and matching steps arrive fully assembled on a pallet. Set it on a level, load-bearing surface, connect the drain, and fill it.
How many people fit?
Up to two people. It holds about 200 gallons of water.
What is the exterior made of?
Natural Thermo-Spruce staves, 1.65 inches thick, thermally treated to last up to twice as long as cedar outdoors. The liner is contoured fiberglass.
Can I use it indoors?
Yes, anywhere the floor takes the filled weight and there is a drain nearby. Most owners put it outdoors next to the sauna.
How does it ship?
Palletized LTL freight. The carrier calls ahead to arrange a delivery window, and we ask you to inspect the pallet before signing.
